Carla Pavlick

Administrative Assistant to the Dean’s Office

Carla E. Pavlick believes that thoughtful organization and a warm, collaborative approach are key to supporting United Lutheran Seminary’s mission. She is so grateful to be part of this community and to contribute as a member of the ULS family.

In her role as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean’s Office and Contextual Formation, Carla brings experience, love for higher education, spiritual leadership, and community building to work each day. Her career has been dedicated to supporting students’ educational journeys, and building strong, supportive relationships with colleagues. This collaborative partnership within a community directly supports the work of nurturing faithful, thoughtful leaders. She also believes kindness and gentle humor help her bring the best of herself to each day.

Carla's career reflects a deep commitment to higher education and spiritual formation. She served in several roles at Gettysburg College, most recently in International Student Services and Religious & Spiritual Life where she helped to create an interfaith community where students and community members could explore their faith, engage in dialogue, and build connections across differences. Her experience in previous roles at ULS helped to reinforce her belief in servant leadership and helped her to prioritize clarity, respect, and a focus on people.

What inspires Carla about her current role at United Lutheran Seminary is the chance to help shape the next generation of ELCA leaders—people who’ll go out into the world and create spaces where grace makes a meaningful impact on so many lives. She is deeply grateful to be called to this work.

When Carla is not at work, she loves spending time with family and friends, nature walks, photography, and cooking
