The Master of Sacred Theology (STM) emphasizes academic accomplishment. It is course/seminar/research-oriented and offers a broad exposure to all theological disciplines, but it also provides a more focused examination of a particular discipline than is provided at the MDiv level through its requirements of a designated major field of study and a thesis. A Master of Sacred Theology enables you to sharpen your knowledge through focused research in seven course units and a concluding thesis. The STM, along with the DMin at ULS, is considered an advanced theological degree within the "Graduate School."
