The Rev. Dr. Emilie M. Townes, an American Baptist clergywoman, is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Religion and Black Studies at the Boston University School of Theology

The Rev. Dr. Beverly Wallace joined LTSS as director of the Center for Lifelong Learning in December 2023. Wallace is a trained chaplain and marriage and family therapist with research focusing on grief and loss. Wallace designed the ELCA’s Womanist Initiative to provide opportunities for learning in Womanist theology.
