Evan Boyd to depart ULS to head library at University of Nebraska at Kearney

May 18, 2022

Evan Boyd, library director and archivist at ULS, will assume a new position as dean of the library at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, effective August 1. "Evan has been instrumental in transforming the services at both of our libraries, increasing their online presence, and overseeing the digitization of several collections," said President R. Guy Erwin. "I would also like to recognize Evan’s service as secretary of the faculty and chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force. I congratulate him warmly on this new position, and though we will miss him very much, we're proud to see ULS people being in demand."

“My five years at ULS have been exciting and full of great opportunities," said Evan. "I loved working alongside the faculty and staff to re-envision what a theological library can be and hope that I have made my mark on the collection and its services. While it is bittersweet that I am leaving ULS, I am thankful for all my experiences there, and I know that those experiences, as well as my colleagues, have helped to prepare me for this new role.”
